We have been working with a social enterprise called Pocket Power for a year, and have helped to save customers a total of more than £40,000 on their bills so far!
After we connect customers with Pocket Power, a simple phone call has saved people an average of £200-£300 a time, all by helping to apply for discounts such as social tariffs, wipe debt, and switch phone, broadband, car insurance and banking bills.
Even after the initial call, which lasts around 30 minutes, Pocket Power can follow up to help people apply for new discounts, or make a switch when contracts run out.
Over the last 12 months, 140 Plus Dane customers have saved an amazing total of £40,957 altogether. So we are now appealing for more customers, and staff as well, to make use of Pocket Power and see if it could benefit you.
“Pocket Power saves people money on their household bills and connects them to financial support they never knew existed,” says strategic partnerships manager Usman Ashiq. “We are really thrilled to see the difference it has made to our customers and hope more take the opportunity to see what it can do for them.”
Helen Burgess, managing director of Pocket Power, says “we have created an excellent partnership with Plus Dane during this first year and we are really excited to build on it over the coming year. We’ve seen particularly good results helping Plus Dane residents move onto social tariffs for their water bills, saving them between 50-90% a year.”
One customer, Bill, saved himself £534. He said: “Pocket Power went through my bills, explained everything and got me money off. I’d definitely recommend them! People are paying too much on their bills and not realising they can save money.”
