Plus Dane Housing has created an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan to coincide with International Women’s Day 2023 #IWD23. The action plan was created following consultation with customers and colleagues to guide Plus Dane to become a more inclusive and diverse workplace.
The Action Plan has helped Plus Dane reach the final stage of the LCR Fair Employment Charter application process with the result expected next week. The Fair Employment Charter is all about: making our region the fairest, most equitable place in the country to work or run a business in. The EDI Action Plan has been a key element in advancing our progress through the Charter mark process.
Amy Causley, Director of People for Plus Dane, said: “What I love most about working at Plus Dane, is the unwavering commitment to doing the right thing for everyone and our social purpose to make our contribution one that helps to give more people the best chances to live well, to make our society fairer. We’re building on a really good foundation, but there is a lot more we can do to become the most diverse and inclusive housing association.”

The Plus Dane EDI Action Plan has been completed in time for International Women’s Day 2023 (IWD). IWD provides an opportunity to highlight good EDI practice and asks businesses to imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated.
Amy concluded: “The theme for IWD23 is Embrace Equity and this is what we are doing at Plus Dane. We are embracing diversity and inclusion and moving forwards with our ambitions to be recognised as a diverse and inclusive business.”
