17th March 2022
Cheshire East Council and Plus Dane are working with local schools, childcare and holiday club providers and community and voluntary organisations to provide free fun activities as part of the Easter holiday activities and food programme (HAF). The free places are funded by the Department for Education as part of the government’s Holiday Activities and Food programme being delivered across Cheshire East. This programme has already successfully run in Cheshire East during the 2021 Easter, summer and winter holidays. For further information about this holiday activity programme visit this government website.
This holiday scheme provides enjoyable activities and nutritious meals for primary and secondary school-aged children who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals.
Children and young people will be able to access free activity sessions during the Easter school holidays, including specific provisions available for children with SEND or additional needs. The sessions will include a variety of fun activities, including sports, arts and crafts, baking, games, trips out and other exciting opportunities to learn and develop skills, alongside a nutritious meal each day.
Finding an activity is easy – just take look at the Cheshire East Livewell Family Information Service Events page – here you will find the fantastic range of Easter activities on offer as well as all the details you need to book your place.
