How you can help Castlefields thrive

4th February 2026

Plus Dane residents of the Castlefields area of Runcorn are being invited to take part in a series of community wellbeing workshops - designed to listen to local experiences and explore what a thriving community could look like in the future.

The workshops are being delivered for us by Wellbeing Enterprises CIC, as part of a community wellbeing engagement project focused on understanding residents’ experiences and supporting community-led ideas for positive change.

Three workshops will take place at Castlefields Community Centre on Wednesday, March 11, 18 and 25, from 10.00am to 12.00pm.

Each session will bring residents together in a small, supportive group setting. The workshops will create space for residents to reflect on their lived experience of wellbeing, share what helps and hinders life in the area, and reimagine what a healthier, more supportive future for Castlefields could look like.

Wellbeing Enterprises says that the sessions will go beyond traditional consultation, creating space for residents to shape ideas for positive change together.

This work forms part of a wider engagement programme, with insights from the workshops helping to inform future actions, priorities and recommendations for Castlefields.

While the project is aimed at Plus Dane customers, the workshops are open to all Castlefields residents. As a thank you for their time, participants will receive a £20 Love2Shop voucher, and refreshments will be provided.

Emma Sneyd, head of social impact at Plus Dane, said: “Listening to residents is essential to understanding what really matters in Castlefields. These workshops give people the opportunity to share their experiences and help shape future wellbeing support in the community.”

James Smith of Wellbeing Enterprises CIC said: “We are pleased to be working in partnership with Plus Dane to create space for residents to reflect, imagine and be heard. Meaningful change starts with the voices of the community.”
