Like you, we have been shocked and horrified by recent events, which have included violent attacks on some of our communities as well as others up and down the country.
We are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our customers; and working with you, as well as our partner organisations such as the police, local authorities and community groups to make sure anti social behaviour of any kind is dealt with robustly and swiftly.
Everyone has the right to live a life free from abuse. Hate crime is a criminal offence, and you can also report hate crime that you witness that may not be directed at you. If you experience hate crime, you can report it a number of ways.
If the situation is an emergency call 999. If not, you can report it by calling 101 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
If, for any reason, you do not wish to report a hate crime to the police, the independent charity Stop Hate UK runs a 24/7 confidential helpline for all victims of hate crime on 0800 138 1625 or https://www.stophateuk.org/.
We have teams at Plus Dane who are trained and on hand to offer support and advice if you are affected by recent events. This is a worrying time, and we are here to help.
If you are suffering from anti-social behaviour, domestic abuse, hate crime or harassment at any time, please don’t suffer in silence.
