Ali is an accomplished audit, risk and governance leader with 25 years’ senior management experience across complex, transforming organisations, including decision support and strategic planning. He brings board-level insight into assurance, controls, operational resilience and strategic risk, supporting effective oversight, constructive challenge and sustainable performance.
His wider experience includes designing and implementing global, multi-sector risk management frameworks and leading governance, assurance and control reviews. As a Board Governor and Audit Committee Member at Wirral Metropolitan College, he provides independent oversight of strategy, finance and risk management. Ali also provides consultancy support to clients through Grant Thornton LLP as an independent audit and assurance consultant.
